After spending the last year touring extensively as a member of Fear of Men, Brighton-based multi-instrumentalist Helen Ganya Brown makes a creative return as Dog In The Snow, her long-standing solo project. Her new single 'Magic' sees Brown taking a more straight-forward approach than what we've come to expect from her usual experimental soundscapes. The lo-fi textures and layers are still there, but a new-found confidence places the focus on melody and Brown's empowered vocals. The suitably woozy video is as dreamy as the track, filmed on a warm and fuzzy Bell & Howell Super 8 camera by Brown's friend Clémentine Blue, and edited by the musician herself with careful overlays. 'Magic' is the first taste from Dog In The Snow's debut LP Consume Me, arriving on the 20th of October on Battle Worldwide. - HLMX
